Udanta — Privacy Policy
The short version
Udanta has no accounts and no sign-in. We collect no personal information, run no analytics, and sell or share nothing with anyone. Outside Nepal the app shows ads from Google, which receives your device details — see Advertising below.
What is stored on your device
Your language and appearance choice, your saved articles, and a cache of recent headlines and thumbnails are stored only on this device. None of it is sent to us.
You can clear saved articles from the Saved tab. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
Location
The Weather tab asks for your location only when you tap "Use my location". Your coordinates are sent to MET Norway to fetch the forecast for that spot, and are not stored on any server of ours. If you decline, the tab works from the city list instead.
Requests to other services
To show you the news, your device requests headlines directly from Nepali publishers, exchange rates from Nepal Rastra Bank, weather from MET Norway, and air quality from the Department of Environment, Nepal. Opening a story loads the publisher’s own page.
Those services can see your IP address and device details, exactly as they would if you visited their website in a browser. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do with that.
Advertising
Inside Nepal the app shows only our own ads and contacts no ad network at all. Outside Nepal ads come from Google AdMob, which receives your device and its advertising identifier. We show no tracking permission prompt, so Apple gives Google a blanked identifier: the ads are not personalised, build no profile of you, and do not follow you across apps or websites. The Google privacy policy covers what it does with what it receives.
Children
Udanta is a general news reader and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here and on our website. For any privacy question, contact us from the Contact screen.

सुरक्षित समाचार "सुरक्षित" ट्याबबाट हटाउन सकिन्छ। एप अनइन्स्टल गर्दा यसले राखेको सबै कुरा मेटिन्छ।
स्थान
"मौसम" ट्याबले तपाईंले "मेरो स्थान प्रयोग" थिच्दा मात्र स्थान माग्छ। त्यस ठाउँको पूर्वानुमान ल्याउन तपाईंको अक्षांश–देशान्तर MET Norway लाई पठाइन्छ, र हाम्रो कुनै सर्भरमा राखिँदैन। अस्वीकार गर्नुभयो भने ट्याबले सहरको सूचीबाट काम गर्छ।

समाचार देखाउन तपाईंको यन्त्रले सिधै नेपाली प्रकाशकहरूबाट हेडलाइन, नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकबाट विनिमय दर, MET Norway बाट मौसम, र वातावरण विभाग नेपालबाट वायु गुणस्तर ल्याउँछ। समाचार खोल्दा प्रकाशककै पृष्ठ लोड हुन्छ।
ती सेवाहरूले तपाईंको आईपी ठेगाना र यन्त्रको विवरण देख्न सक्छन् — ब्राउजरबाट तिनको वेबसाइट खोल्दा जस्तै। त्यसमा तिनकै गोपनीयता नीति लागू हुन्छ।
विज्ञापन
नेपालभित्र एपले हाम्रा आफ्नै विज्ञापन मात्र देखाउँछ र कुनै विज्ञापन सञ्जालसँग सम्पर्क गर्दैन। नेपालबाहिर विज्ञापन गुगल एडमोबबाट आउँछन्, र गुगलले तपाईंको यन्त्र र विज्ञापन पहिचानकर्ता पाउँछ। हामी ट्र्याकिङ अनुमति सोध्दैनौं, तसर्थ एपलले गुगललाई खाली पहिचानकर्ता दिन्छ: विज्ञापन व्यक्तिगत हुँदैनन्, तपाईंको प्रोफाइल बनाउँदैनन्, र अन्य एप वा वेबसाइटमा पछ्याउँदैनन्। गुगलले पाएको कुराको बारेमा उसको आफ्नै गोपनीयता नीति लागू हुन्छ।
बालबालिका
उदन्त सामान्य समाचार एप हो र बालबालिकालाई लक्षित छैन। यसले बालबालिकासहित कसैबाट पनि व्यक्तिगत जानकारी सङ्कलन गर्दैन।
